Unfortunately, Covid-19 changed the way we train martial arts. But it should not stop us from training. We compiled a list of a few of our favorite Virtual Classes to keep you training through quarantine and beyond.
#1-Bang Muay Thai
Duane “Bang” Ludwig, is a World Class Mixed Martial Artist & The 2 time Coach of the year 2013 & 2014 & Coach of UFC star T.J. Dillashaw. Duane has created a program that makes highly technical striking both accessible and easy to implement. Pricing for the program is free for a trial period and then $24.99/month.
#2-Max Krav Maga
Eyal Yanilov's program is one of the best online programs for Krav Maga. The program works for everyone from beginners to law enforcement. Why? Yanilov works to make the program as clear and easy to learn as possible. The programs are broken up into Levels 1-5 in both Practitioner and Graduate programs. Pricing $59/month
#3-Kung Fu Life
If you are looking for authentic Shaolin Kung Fu you may want to check out KungFu.life. They offer lifestream training, virtual retreats, as well as some free online courses. Pricing varies as some programs are free and some require a yearly membership fee.
#4-Cyber Taekwondo
The program offers students the opportunity to go from white belt to black belt in Taekwondo all online. The programs are much more affordable than traditional on-site classes and even offers programs for families and those looking to compete in Taekwondo. Monthly plans range from $27.99 for the basic plan up to $79.99 for the premium plan.
#5-Gracie University
It would be hard to have a list of the top virtual martial arts programs without including Gracie University. Yes you can achieve belt ranks with Gracie University but they offer much more than that. Programs include: GRACIE BULLY-PROOF, WOMEN EMPOWERED, and even INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION. Prices vary greatly. Some programs cost as little $10 while others like a belt stripe program will run upwards of $540.
#6-Krav Maga worldwide
There website can help you find an on-site school but if there isn't one near you they also offer an online academy. Just sign up and work through the curriculum online. Pricing is reasonable compared with on-site classes. The yellow belt techniques course for example is priced $139.99.
#7-Evolve University
Evolve University provides classes in Muay Thai, Boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Wrestling, Submission Grappling, and Self-Defense. While less structured than some other programs on this list, the quality of instructors is second to none. The listed instructors on their website include: Meisha Tate, Demetrious Johnson, and Rafael Dos Anjos. Pricing is $9.95/month or $99.95/year.
#8-Global Martial Arts University
The variety of programs offered in one place is excellent. Looking for a black belt in Krav Maga, Taekwondo, or maybe Shotokan Karate? They have also been helping people achieve black belt goals since 2008. Pricing is also extremely reasonable. The path to black belt is only 3 payments of $195.00.
#9-Virtual Kenpo
Virtual Kenpo allows you to learn over 250 self-defense techniques suited for real survival situations. They also offer online real-time private lessons. Pricing is a great value as well at $14.95/month.
#10-Get Fit to Fight-TJ Dillashaw
This program is not completely unique. There are several big name fighters with similar programs. Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal have also recently created their own online training courses. TJ Dillashaw has our favorite though. Fitness is the primary focus of this program but you will also learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu and striking techniques from a UFC champion. The price for this course is a one time fee of $199.
