Valley Aikido was established to promote the training and ideals of aikido which were established by the founder of aikido, Ueshiba Morihei.
The word Aikido can be translated as “the way to connect with energy”.
Our interpretation of the art emphasizes efficient use of the body through correct posture, relaxation, and mind-body development. The benefits of aikido include self defense, stress reduction, and physical conditioning. Since aikido is not dependent on physical strength, it is an excellent martial art for both men & women.
