IMB Academy

Here at IMB Academy, we believe in helping individuals achieve results and following their own path.  For this reason, we teach several martial arts so students can pick up what works for them and discard that which does not.

The IMB Academy is run by Sigung Richard Bustillo, one of Bruce Lee’s original Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do students, golden gloves boxer, Grandmaster in Filipino martial arts (eskrima, kali and arnis), muay thai specialist (Kru), certified law enforcement defensive tactics instructor, and member of the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers. Sigung Bustillo is largely credited for his perpetuation of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do and in bringing the Filipino martial arts tradition to the United States.

For over 40 years, the IMB Academy has played an important role in the personal growth and professional development of thousands of students locally, nationally, and internationally. Since 1974, the IMB Academy has trained and developed (both physically and mentally) thousands of students living in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, as well as Orange County. The curriculum is taught across the U.S. and abroad through the academy’s network of affiliate instructors and schools.
